Description
Out here on the farm, rules are supposed to be simple—early mornings, long days, and hard work. But I’ve never been good at following rules. I’d rather chase trouble in the fields, stay out past dark, and laugh in the face of responsibility.
My dad’s been patient, maybe too patient, watching me push every boundary. But patience only lasts so long.
Now he says it’s time I learned my true purpose. Not chores. Not discipline. Something deeper, older, darker than anything I imagined could exist in a place like this.
And once his plan begins, the wild girl who thought rules didn’t matter may never be the same again.
