Jesse is there when his big brother, Owen, is part of the winning team, bringing the trophy home to the town after a decade of nothing. Of course there are celebrations and as much as Jesse would like to be part of them he’s certain he’ll always be on the outside. Then his brother surprises him – he invites Jesse back to his apartment, for “the real party” the one his friends, Mark, Leo and Remy will all be at. Jesse can’t say no, of course he can’t, this is his chance. He’s 18 now, he can be part of the inner circle. But he knows, deep down, there is something off about it all. Will he follow his gut or his hopes? Hope wins out, hope that he’ll be accepted. What he doesn’t expect is the way a kids game of truth and dare turns into something much bigger, something he has only ever admitted to in his fantasies. Jesse’s eyes are certainly opened to the reality of his big brother but also to the reality of what he might want. Leo, Remy and Mark are interesting characters, Rowan Steele has given us a little of everything with them and with that he has also given us a smutty MMMMM romance – I hope that’s the right amount of ‘M’ – maybe you need to check for yourself!
