Description
The creature never asked to be created, yet his creator rejected him simply for existing.
I haven’t spoken to my father in years — not really. Birthday texts and meaningless conversation. The same old movie line he told me years ago runs through my head: the monster’s not the villain, he’s just a guy who got built and then was abandoned.
Then one Halloween, I pull on the Frankenstein costume, walk into a masquerade party I know he’ll be at, and become someone he can’t look away from. No names. No numbers. Masks stay on. For one night, the man who made me gets to want someone — and for once, that someone is me.
Every creation wants to know what it was made for.
